Do I need to replace my home siding?

It isn't necessarily very easy to determine if you need to replace what you have or if it makes sense to just put a fresh coat of paint on it and call it good. Here are some conditions to look for:

  • appearance of fungus
  • obvious separation of seams
  • caulking failure
  • swelling
  • de-lamination
  • boards that no longer lay flat against your house
  • paint failure
  • moisture on the inside of your house

All are signs of siding failure and should trigger you to call a qualified company to replace it in the very near term or you could run the risk of causing expensive damage to the infrastructure to your home.
