Meet The Owners — Ted and Bernie!

Ted Roland – President & CEO

Ted and his brother Bernie grew up in Denver.  Ted has been the President of K&H since 1995. He is a 1968 graduate of George Washington High School. He has been involved in and managed a variety of businesses and organizations since graduating from The University of Colorado in Boulder, School of Business in 1975 with a Degree in Accounting as well as minors in Marketing and Finance. His background includes the positons of Deputy Executive Director for The U.S. Parachute Association; 8 years as a C.P.A. in public practice; controller locally for businesses including Siegel Oil Company and Aspen Graphics. He’s also worked in the financial services industry with The Principal Financial Group.

Being involved in a family business like K&H has allowed Ted to take advantage of many valuable lessons learned from his parents over the years.  Lessons like “if you give people what they want , you will find that you get what you want.” and “nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care.”   In effect, K&H and its staff of committed professionals are an extension of his and Bernie’s family.  They all care for each other and work together toward the common goal of fulfilling their clients desires and exceeding their expectations.

Bernie Roland – Vice President of Marketing

Bernie and Ted were raised in the Denver metro area.  Bernie attended Denver public schools and was a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Business in Boulder.  His involvement with K&H began shortly after college, working as a window installer and later in sales.  Having an opportunity to pursue other business opportunities, Bernie left K&H to work in the commercial construction industry and later in real estate development.  During this time he became acquainted with the principles of Total Quality Management, a system of business operation that has at its core a customer-first orientation. Utilizing this and other inovative business principles Bernie and Ted have strived to build K&H into a revolutionary company that helps its customers and clients experience a satisfying, no-worry home improvement experience.
